Police officers lined the streets of an Angus town on Friday afternoon in a moving farewell to one of their colleagues.
PC Dean Morrison’s funeral took place at Carnoustie Church at 2pm.
Colleagues in uniform lined up outside the kirk prior to the service as mourners arrived for the send-off.
Officers also lined the High Street as the hearse carrying his coffin moved by led by a bagpiper.
PC Morrison was found dead at the Barry Burn in Carnoustie following what the force described as a “tragic accident” on Sunday, December 16 2018.
He joined the force in 2002 and spent all of his working life in Dundee. Most recently, he was stationed at Longhaugh Police Station.
The flag at Tayside Police Division’s Bell Street HQ is flying at half mast in tribute to PC Morrison.
His wife Emily paid an emotional tribute to him prior to the service.
