A pair of alpacas helped keep the pace for pupils completing their daily mile at Monifieth High School yesterday.
The South American animals, which normally reside at Newton Farm near Forfar, were brought to the school by Graeme and Lou Nicoll, pictured, as part of its health week.
A range of events will take place in the school to promote mental and physical wellbeing.
