The incident took place on the A932 Friockheim to Forfar road near Pitmuies Gardens at about noon. The clear-up operation in full swing following the tree which fell across the A932 near Pitmuies Gardens. Staff from the estate and police are working to clear the blocked road. A large queue of traffic is tailing back on the road due to the incident. The blocked A932 near Pitmuies Gardens. Workers are using chainsaws in a bid to clear the road of the tree. A police spokesman confirmed officers had been called to the scene and that the road remains partially blocked. It comes as heavy rainfall and a forecast for thunderstorms led to a number of events across Tayside and Fife being cancelled. Two severe weather warnings are coming into effect across Courier country – along with flood alerts for Dundee, Angus, Fife, and Perth and Kinross – as the area prepares for three days of torrential rain, strong winds and thunderstorms.
