NHS Tayside has confirmed a coronavirus case linked to a Dundee school.
The person who tested positive for Covid-19 has ties to the city’s Kingspark Primary.
A special team has been put together to probe the situation.
The individual is said to have developed symptoms associated with the virus at the weekend and was tested on Monday.
A joint statement from NHS Tayside and Dundee City Council reads: “NHS Tayside’s health protection team has been made aware today of a single case of Covid-19 in an individual connected with Kingspark School in Dundee.
“A problem assessment group, which will involve colleagues from public health and Dundee City Council, has been convened to investigate the situation and identify any further actions which may need to be taken.”
Earlier today the Evening Telegraph reported that a message was circulated to pupils’ parents informing them of the coronavirus case.
