Firefighters have been called out to deal with a fire at the former Strathmartine Hospital site in Dundee.
Two crews from Blackness Road and one from Kingsway responded to a report of smoke coming from the roof space at the derelict listed building shortly before 8pm on Wednesday evening.
No-one was injured and the emergency services have launched an investigation into what caused the fire.
It is understood a local man saw smoke coming from the main building, believed to be the former ward four or five, and the roof timbers were said to be well alight by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
The building suffered extensive damage in a blaze which was set deliberately back in April 2015, and plans are currently in place to turn the site into flats.
