Dundee University has captured stunning pictures depicting the power of Storm Doris as it battered Britain.
The pictures, taken by the university’s satellite receiving station on Wednesday and Thursday, show the stark contrast between the day’s conditions.
While Monday saw London’s warmest day of the winter so far, Thursday brought torrential rain, wind and even snow to many parts of the British Isles.
This picture, taken at 1.07pm on Wednesday shows calm weather in Britain but with the storm approaching over the Atlantic.
