Two Dundee buskers have been stealing the show in the city centre today.
Drummer Brandyn Murphy and singer-guitarist James Liandu have been delighting locals outside the main entrance to the Overgate Shopping Centre.
The duo have been grabbing the attention of swathes of people with Mr Murphy’s riveting beats on the cajón and Mr Liandu’s acoustic guitar and soulful vocals.
The Dunonians play together in heavy metal band, Black Blood, and said it had been some time since they’d hit the streets to play slightly more “happy tunes”.
Mr Murphy, 19, said the cajón he was playing had been drawing a lot of interest.
The percussion instrument originated from Peru and works by being slapped with the hands.
He said: “We play heavy metal, so this is a big change from heavy metal. A lot of people ask what this (the instrument) is. It’s a cajón, it’s just a drum box.
“A lot of people like the pairing, some people don’t.”
