Carnival 56 opened its doors for the first time on Saturday morning, welcoming thousands of revellers.
There were high expectations for the Dundee music festival, which featured Mark Ronson, The Fratellis and Basement Jaxx this evening.
Locals soaked up the atmosphere during the first afternoon of the event, which will also see Rudimental, The Charlatans and the city’s own Kyle Falconer take to the stage tomorrow.
The discovery live comedy and the Rhumba “Big Top” tents have both proved a huge hit with festival goers so far.
