The Fife firm behind plans to open a £1 million restaurant and pub below the Caird Hall in Dundee says it is excited to be involved with a city “on the up”.
The St Andrews Brewing Company will sign a lease for two units in the hall’s basement with Dundee City Council later this month.
The firm is now aiming to launch a 100-seat restaurant and large bar in time for the opening of the V&A in September. The project will employ 50 staff.
Company director Tim Butler said: “We have been looking at moving into Dundee for about 18 months and when this site came up we had to go for it – it’s a fantastic location.
“Dundee is massively on the up and it’s exciting to be part of that.”
