Three athletes from Courier Country clinched gold medals on the Gold Coast on Sunday.
Dundee cyclist Mark Stewart came out victorious in the men’s 40km points race, earning a gold medal.

Arbroath bobbie Darren Burnett, along with teammates Ronnie Duncan and Derek Oliver, came out on top at the lawn bowls men’s triples.

Elsewhere it was a phenomenal day for former Strathallan pupil Duncan Scott, who nabbed his fourth medal of the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a gold medal finish in the 100m freestyle.
He later added a bronze to his haul in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay. Scott is now the most medalled Scottish athlete at a games ever.
Glenrothes swimmer Mark Szaranek and Perth’s Stephen Milne also earned bronze for the freestyle relay.

Team Scotland earned eight medals on Sunday, racking up 23 in the Games overall.
Cyclist Leah Evans grabbed silver in the women’s 10km scratch race.
Cyclist Callum Skinner won bronze for the men’s 1000m time trial.

A bronze medal also went to gymnast Danny Purvis for the men’s floor and another to Mark Dry for the men’s hammer throwing.
