A woman was left with head injuries after a bottle was thrown through the window of a bus in Dundee city centre.
The incident occurred on Victoria Road on Tuesday evening at 11.15pm.
The woman was sitting on an Xplore Dundee number 17 bus which was stationary at a bus stop at the back of the Wellgate Shopping Centre.
The bottle smashed a window and struck the female passenger on the head.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Fortunately she was not badly injured, but could potentially have been very seriously hurt.
“The dangers of reckless actions like this cannot be overstated, and if this had happened to the windscreen while the bus was moving, the consequences could have been horrendous.
“CCTV footage is being examined, however we would still like to hear from anyone who saw this incident take place.”
