Two more Fife care homes have closed their doors to visitors amid concerns over the coronavirus.
Rosturk House Care Home in Cupar, and Peacehaven in Lundin Links, will only be allowing visits to residents in exceptional circumstances.
Both homes are run by Rosturk House Ltd, who said they had had taken the difficult decision to keep residents safe in response to the outbreak of the virus.
It follows a similar announcement on Wednesday by the Balhousie Care Group, which runs Forth View Care Home in Methil, as well as 10 homes in Perth and Kinross, six in Angus and three in Dundee.
A spokesperson for Rosturk House said the situation would be reviewed on a weekly basis and invited people to send messages for their loved ones via their website or email.
They said: “We’ve made the difficult decision to close all our care homes to visitors.
“We’ve done this to reduce the amount of footfall within our premises in response to the recent outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
“We understand this will be difficult for residents, families, friends and staff and we will do everything we can to ensure that operations continue with as little disruption to everyone as possible.
“We are allowing for exceptional circumstance visits but these are by appointment only, so please get in touch with our managemet team by telephone or email so we can arrange your visit.
“We will be reviewing the situation on a weekly basis but remain committed to the safety of our residents above all else.”
