Bomb disposal experts were called into action in Fife this afternoon.
Police units were joined by officers from the Royal Logistic Corps explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team at 12pm after reports of a device at a property near Cowdenbeath.
The ordnance device, thought to be an unexploded First World War grenade, was discovered in Torbeith Road at Hill of Beath.
The detonation of the device was caught on video by Geopaw Cowdenbeath, whose footage is above this article.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland attended at Torbeith Road at Hill of Beath at 12pm on Saturday 12pm after reports of a ordnance device at a property.
“EOD attended and the device was detonated safely.”
