He has been named as 41-year-old Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling. Officers said his death was being treated as unexplained pending a post mortem examination and the procurator fiscal has been informed. Police had issued an appeal to help identify the body, pulled from the river at Preston Island near Culross on August 5, after a trawl of missing person reports across the country drew a blank. They issued a description of him and the clothing he had been wearing in the hope someone would recognise him so family and friends could be informed.
