A teenager has been charged in connection with a blaze which gutted the former Viewforth High School building in Kirkcaldy.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent six appliances to the C-listed building in Loughborough Road at around 7.28pm on Saturday August 15.
Crews battled through the night to contain the blaze as it ripped through the 112-year-old building, which has been earmarked for residential development.
On Wednesday, Police Scotland confirmed that a 16-year-old youth had been arrested and charged in connection with the fire.
A police spokesperson said: “A 16 year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with this incident.
“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Officers would like to thank the public for their help with this enquiry.”
