Three women were seriously injured after a crash that closed a Fife road for five hours.
Police said they suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in the three-car accident on the B939 in Strathkinness, at the junction with Main Street on Saturday.
The women, passengers in each of the cars, were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after the incident at around 2.35pm.
All three emergency services attended the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a three car crash on the B939 at Strathkinness in Fife shortly after 2.35pm.
“Three women – all passengers from the respective cars – suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the incident and were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
“The road was closed for around five hours to allow for an investigation at the scene.”
