A Fife school teacher whose car crashed into a garden has died. Gordon Suttie, 67, was rushed to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital in a serious condition after the smash on Sunday evening. Police Scotland confirmed that he passed away in hospital last night. Mr Suttie, who was retired, taught generations of children at Auchmuty High School, in Glenrothes. The Kia Cee’d the biology teacher was driving overturned in South Parks Road and landed on its side in a garden. Following the collision hundreds of former pupils sent warm wishes for his speedy recovery. A Facebook page set up called Get Well Soon, Gordon has been liked more than 1,000 times and was flooded with messages from pupils and former colleagues. It was intended to present a card to Mr Suttie’s wife, Anne, containing every name. A police spokesperson said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the accident but a report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
