A St Andrews man left the Liberal Democrat leader stumped earlier today after the politician quizzed him on Scottish independence.
Tim Farron was visiting the Fife town during a tour of the region, and took the opportunity to speak to local residents.
He was filmed by the BBC asking one local man his thoughts on Scottish independence.
The man’s rather frank response, presumably aimed at First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, was “that woman needs a kick up the a***”.
Mr Farron replied: “All right, okay. So I’ll take that as a no?”.
