A girl who was seriously injured in a Kennoway road accident got a “massive surprise” when Olly Murs visited her in hospital today.
Emma Pollock, 12, missed out on his concert in Edinburgh due to being confined to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh after a car hit her on June 22.
She sustained a broken skull, femur and pelvis in the collision and is struggling to communicate.
As she is a huge fan of the Troublemaker singer, family friend Kelly Dewar contacted Olly’s management company and charity Rays of Sunshine, which works with the star, as well as launching a social media campaign in the hope he would visit.
The star obliged by surprising Emma in hospital and posing for photos with her.
A former Mountfleurie Primary School pupil, Emma had been due to start Bell Baxter High School in Cupar, after the holidays but will instead continue to work with physiotherapists in the neurology ward as she tries to regain her mobility.
Olly Murs will also perform at Dundee’s Slessor Gardens on Thursday before going on to Aberdeen and Inverness.
