Residents of a Fife village will head to the polls on Thursday to determine how to improve their community.
People in Leslie will be able to vote on several projects aimed at enhancing the local High Street.
The Tullis Russell Task Force has awarded £20,000 of funding, with residents able to vote in person or online as to what initiatives they would like to see the cash spent on.
Nine separate projects have been put forward as part of the Participatory Budgeting exercise, including schemes to clean up the local war memorial, installing Christmas lights, installing historic name signs, and improving shop fronts.
People will have three chances to vote, allocating three points, two points and one point to the projects they would most like to see happen in Leslie.
JP Easton, Fife Council team manager, said: “Participatory Budgeting in Leslie is an exciting opportunity for local people to decide how money will be spent in Leslie.
“There were many suggestions and ideas submitted by local people to enhance the High Street area.
“Voting can be done online or at The Station Hotel from 3.30pm until 7pm.
“Then the results of the votes will be announced.”
“The projects that have been submitted are quite diverse, and came from a range of people and community groups.
“There were several ideas and suggestions about traffic improvements, these have been passed onto local councillors and to the relevant service, as the cost of such improvements exceeded this budget.”
