Models followed a path trodden by royalty as they hit the catwalk in Fife.
The annual fashion show in which a young Kate Middleton caught the eye of her future husband 16 years ago was staged for the 17th time in St Andrews.
A host of top designers showcased their work in the student-run Dont Walk 2018 show at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa.
Alongside established brands was the work of young designers of the future, as they grabbed their opportunity to be seen by the watching fashion world.
The Duchess of Cambridge famously modelled a revealing dress in the 2002 Dont Walk show, as Prince William looked on among hundreds of other spectators.
A short time later it was revealed that the couple, who were both studying at St Andrews University, had started a relationship.
Around 1,500 students and guests attended Saturday's glitzy show, the latest annual incarnation of what has become a highlight of the university's social calendar.
It was held in a packed marquee outside the luxury hotel.
Student models sashayed down the catwalk in outlandish and daring outfits and lingerie by a number of designers, including Harris Tweed and Heidi Klein.
As well as providing a launchpad for the careers of students entering the fashion industry, the event raises money for charities, both local and international.
An auction was held at a break in proceedings halfway throguh the night and Saturday's show is expected to have raised more than £20,000 for UK and US charities.
Among those to benefit will be FHI 360, which manages projects in family planning and reproductive health in more than 70 countries, and Comic Relief.
Since it began in 2001 Dont Walk, which regularly features in the pages of fashion-conscious magazines including Tatler and Vogue, has raised more than £240,000 for numerous causes.
The event was established as a symbolic response to the September 11 terrorist attacks by a multinational group of students in St Andrews.
A party was held after the show, featuring music by AJ Tracey, Whetan and Louis the Child.
