27-year-old man dies in Fife road accident

A 27-year-old man has died following an early morning car crash in Fife.

Police said only one vehicle was involved in the tragedy on the B981 Cluny to Kinglassie road at 5.50am on Sunday.

The car is said to have been badly damaged by the impact.

Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and the road was closed between the Kinglassie junction and Strathore Road for several hours.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area until it reopened late in the afternoon.

Police said no further details would be released until the man’s next of kin had been informed.
