Actor, musician and avid golfer Justin Timberlake is to play for the first time in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, organisers have confirmed.
The 10-time Grammy award-winning musician and four-time Emmy award-winning actor will play alongside world number four Justin Rose in the event, which takes place from September 26 to 29 over the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
Timberlake and Rose have paired before in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Rose has fond memories at the Alfred Dunhill Links, having finished runner-up in 2007.
With a prize fund of $5 million, the championship incorporates two separate competitions – an individual professional tournament for the world’s leading golfers and a team event in which the professionals are paired with some of the most celebrated amateur golfers which creates a unique atmosphere.
Admission is free for all spectators over the first three days with final day tickets on Sunday, September 29 available to purchase at the entrance gates for £20.
