Tributes have been paid to a Perth teacher and rugby star who died in a horror road crash as he cycled to work.
Adam Pattinson was struck by an on-coming car on the A912 Bridge of Earn to Aberargie road on Friday morning.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene, known as the Bailgie Straight, just after 6.30am.
The road was shut for several hours while collision investigators tried to establish what happened.
Mr Pattinson was a games teacher at Craigclowan Preparatory School and captain of Perthshire Rugby.
The club’s chief executive Allan Brown led tributes to 36-year-old. “We are totally devastated,” he said. “The thoughts and prayers of all members of our club are with Adam’s wife Claire, his son Fraser and Adam’s family.”
Mr Brown said: “For many, many years Adam has been at the centre of our Perthshire Rugby family as a player, captain and club captain.
“We shall miss him greatly.”
