A Perth teen has become the youngest person in Scotland to obtain a junior racing driving licence.
Chloe Grant, 13, secured the title after passing the Association of Racing Drivers Schools (ARDS) test, allowing her to compete in numerous junior car racing championships.
Chloe trains at the Knockhill Racing Circuit in Dunfermline, and described the race instructors as “so supportive” in her bid to pass the ARDS test.
She said: “It was an amazing experience, the race instructors at Knockhill were so supportive.
“I am still reminding myself that it happened and that I am not dreaming.
“It’s pretty cool to be the youngest driver to get my licence.”
Becoming the youngest driver to get the licence has taken years of hard work and commitment from Chloe, which was recognised by the Scottish Motor Racing Club last year when it awarded her the Rising Star award.
She added: “I have been racing karts for almost eight years now, and every year I have had to work so hard to remain competitive in terms or testing and practising at every opportunity.
“[I participate] as many races as I can, and take care of my health and well-being by eating well and working out.”
Chloe’s achievements have also won the admiration of her family.
Her father, Mike Grant said: “My wife Sharon and I are extremely proud of Chloe’s achievements on and off the track.
“She puts so much effort into everything that she does.
“Chloe would be in the seat every opportunity, and if she’s not racing, she wants to go out practising.
“Chloe loves to be at a racetrack, and soaks up the whole weekend practising and racing with the other kids during the day, then hanging out with them at night.
“She is very competitive and does like to win, but when that doesn’t happen, she picks herself up and moves on very quickly.”
As for the future of Chloe’s future in as a racer, she has set herself big goals.
She said: “I would like to take part in the W series, but my ultimate goal would be Formula 1.
“I am so excited to see what the future holds for me.”
