Staff at Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) have returned the kindness they were shown by the public at the height of the coronavirus emergency by donating to their local community.
Employees took up the challenge of NHS Tayside’s Pay it Forward campaign and provided essential items such as tins of soup, pasta, shampoo and shower gel to Perth Foodbank.
Medical Secretary Lorna Robertson said: “We only started collecting this month and I was blown away with how much we received in just a short space of time.
“It’s so important to start paying it forward to help those in need during this difficult time.”
The NHS Tayside-wide scheme was launched as the number of coronavirus patients across the region started to fall and staff expressed a wish to repay the community for the support they had been given.
Details of organisations that accept donations can be found on the NHS Tayside website.
