Books are among items damaged at Perth’s AK Bell Library during last night’s heavy rainfall.
The damage to “stock an other equipment” was caused by flooding to the library stores.
Some Click and Collect orders will not be able to be fulfilled, but library staff are working to find replacements.
Unfortunately, some books have been damaged in the overnight rain, which means we may be unable to fulfill full Click and Collect orders today.
We're doing everything we can to find replacements but please bear with us as we work through this.
Thank you 📚

A Culture Perth and Kinross spokesperson added: “There was some flooding to our library stores, which unfortunately meant some stock and other equipment has been damaged due to the heavy rainfall.
“We are currently working through this at present to assess how much damage there has been to books but we are hopeful that this will not be extensive and disruption for customers will be kept to a minimum.”
