Three people were injured in a two vehicle head on collision on the A85 Perth to Crieff road.
The accident happened at about 11.30am on Friday, one mile west of Methven.
The road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police Scotland said that one man sustained serious leg injuries and two other people were also injured in the accident.
The injured were tended to at the scene by paramedics before being removed to hospital.
Scottish Fire and Rescue sent two units from Perth to the scene after reports of persons trapped.
They were required to help remove one person from a car, and remained at the scene for an hour helping to clear debris from the roadway.
Another two vehicle accident closed one lane of the M90 southbound, north of Glenfarg, at around 12.20pm on Friday.
According to the police one woman sustained minor injuries in the accident.
