Perth’s Muirton Community Nursery held a Once Upon a Time Day in memory of Cate McKechnie who passed away last year having worked at the nursery for 20 years.
The children dressed up as storybook characters and enjoyed food and activities based around some of their favourite stories.
Linda Sanderson, the project manager, said: “We thought it was fitting to have a special storytelling chair made in Cate’s memory and were delighted when her son Craig agreed to read the first stories from it.
“We are also very grateful to Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Service Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub at Wisecraft who made the chair for us.”
