A permanent floral tribute could be created for little Harlow Edwards on the edge of Coupar Angus.
The town’s award-winning Pride of Place group are inviting locals to take part in a planting event at the Common on Saturday morning.
More than 5,000 bulbs will be planted during the event, which was originally arranged as part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Purple 4 Polio campaign.
The team said it is also a chance to remember two-year-old Harlow, who’s death has shaken the close-knit community.
Chairwoman Anne Easson said: “Pride of Place feel that this could also provide an opportunity for people to come and plant crocuses in memory of Harlow.
“These will then flower every spring in a blaze of purple on the Common.”
She added: “We wish to offer our condolences to Harlow’s family and wish her brother and sister a full recovery.”
The planting session will begin at 10am and gardening forks and spades will be provided.
The group will also have a stall at the town hall’s Wellbeing Fair on Thursday from 11am-3pm.
Dozens of bouquets and toys have been left by well-wishers at the scene of the accident on Forfar Road.
A fund-raising page has also been set up to help the Edwards family.
