Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash in the Carse of Gowrie.
The road between Errol and St Madoes was closed for a time after a car hit a tree.
There were three people in the car and the female driver was trapped in the vehicle.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said all three were taken to hospital, one by air ambulance.
A spokesman for Police Scotland initially said the injuries did not appear to be serious.
He said: “We were called to a one-vehicle crash at 1.36pm.
“The vehicle has collided with a tree. There were three occupants in the car and the female driver is trapped.”
He confirmed that an air ambulance was in attendance.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were in attendance.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1.27pm today to attend a road traffic collision on St Madoes Road, Errol.
“We dispatched three ambulances, the Tayside Trauma team and our Helimed air ambulance to the scene.
“Two patients were transferred by road and one patient was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital.”
