Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on a Perthshire road on Friday morning.
Firefighters had to help free two people following the two car crash on the A926 between Airlie to Blairgowrie road at about 11am.
The road remains closed while police carry out investigations.
One of the people involved is said to be seriously injured. Both casualties were taken to Ninewells Hospital.
Two fire and rescue appliances were called to the scene to help remove the two people following the incident, one from Kirriemuir and another from Blairgowrie.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “We had two appliances there. We got the call at 11am. Two vehicles were involved and two casualties were removed.
“They were left in the care of the ambulance service.”
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland attended at A926 Alyth to Blairgowrie after a road traffic collision involving two vehicles at 11am this morning. A man has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 10.51am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A926 between Airlie and Blairgowrie.
“We dispatched two ambulances, a manager, the trauma team and a paramedic response unit to the scene.
“Two patients were transported to Ninewells Hospital.”
