An urgent appeal for help has been issued following a young cat being stuck around 100 feet up a tree in Perthshire.
Two failed attempts have been made to rescue the stricken animal in Scone, which is described as “petrified.”
This is now the fourth day the cat has spent up the tree.
Firefighters attended the site today but this resulted in the frightened cat climbing even higher up the tree.
Katie McCandless, who runs Missing Pets, Perth and Kinross, said it is a “worrying” time for the cat and its owner.
“Firefighters came out this morning to try to get the cat down but it’s now climbed even higher up the tree unfortunately,” she said.
“We believe it is now around 100 feet up the tree. Part of the problem is there is a sheer drop below the tree, so it’s not good.
“This is it’s fourth day up there so it’s quite worrying. The owner is desperate for help.”
