Hundreds of schools across Scotland will stay closed today as the “Beast from the East” weather strikes.
Fife Council was among the first to declare its intentions, confirming on Tuesday evening that all of its schools will be closed today.
Controversially, Dundee City Council has opted to keep its schools open — despite Dundee and Angus College campuses closing and the Scottish Government advising against all but essential travel.
In Angus and in Perth and Kinross there has been no blanket closure decision, but many individual schools are closed.
