A woman has died after the motorbike she was a passenger on collided with a bus on the A9.
A male riding the bike was injured and taken to hospital on Saturday, following the crash with the bus, which was carrying Ross County supporters, at Kindallachan, between Dunkeld and Ballinluig.
The football club posted a social media statement, saying nobody on the bus was injured.
“It would be inappropriate for the club to make any further comment at this time as this is an ongoing police investigation,” it added.
The trunk road was closed for seven hours following the crash and diversions quickly became gridlocked.
The road was closed for more than an hour following the accident, at around 10am on Saturday.
Both accidents happened as hundreds of bikers travelled north for the annual Thunder in the Glens Harley Davidson rally in Aviemore.
Many people on their way to the Blair Castle International Horse Trials were also stuck, but organisers pledged to let them use their tickets for Sunday’s events.
Anyone with un-scanned tickets from today that was unable to get here due to the traffic, your tickets will be made valid for tomorrow. #BCIHT #Blair2018 https://t.co/YilpocSE71
