Major tailbacks are said to be affecting side-roads after a serious crash on the main road between Perth and Dundee led to an influx of traffic.
Routes around St Madoes, Errol and Glencarse have been left with “nose-to-tail” congestion after the A90 was forced to close following a serious crash near Kinfauns on Wednesday at noon.
Southbound traffic is said to be coming off the dual carriageway onto the Errol to St Madoes road and into Glencarse via the flyover.
Vehicles are said to be slow-moving through the area.
Additionally the A93 Perth to Blairgowrie road and A94 Coupar Angus to Perth roads are also said to be particularly busy due to the diversions.

One motorist said: “A lot have come from St Madoes across the motorway flyover to Glencarse and then from there some are going back to the motorway towards Dundee or cutting up a little side road to Kinfauns.
“Traffic is coming from Errol. It is nose-to-tail. There’s massive tailbacks.”
