Police have confirmed the death of a motorcyclist in a crash on the A827 in highland Perthshire.
Police Scotland confirmed officers were scrambled to the scene, near Haugh of Ballechin, around 1pm on Friday.
The crash involved a motorbike and a van.
Late on Friday night police confirmed the fatality.
“We can confirm that a motorcyclist has sadly died following a road traffic collision involving a camper van on the A827 at Haugh of Ballechin near Logierait today,” a spokesman said.
“His next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with them. Any witnesses can phone 101.”
Following the accident, Perth and Kinross Council said the road would be closed for the “foreseeable future”.
The spokesman for the local authority said: “Police Scotland have informed us that the A827 at Haugh of Ballechin near Logierait is currently closed due to a serious road traffic collision.
“The road is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future.”
Motorists had been urged to take alternative routes.
