A Perth con woman who blew the savings on a 90-year-old woman on luxury holidays has escaped a jail sentence.
Sophie Peach targeted frail Isabella McIvor – who was known as Ella – over the course of several months, draining £25,000 from her account.
She set up internet banking to transfer £20,000 to her own account and then spent the remaining sum on holidays to Greece, Vietnam, Cyprus, Croatia and Spain.
Peach had met her victim through her befriending business – called There For You – for which she charges Mrs McIvor £20 per visit.
Yesterday at Perth Sheriff Court Sheriff William Wood heard that the 45-year-old had since repaid the money.
Peach previously admitted obtaining a total of £25,132.25 by fraud between February 11 and July 3 2017.
Sheriff Wood ordered her to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work, placed her on a 12-month curfew and placed her under a supervision order.
Peach, of Gannochy Edge, Perth, is also banned from undertaking voluntary work without permission.
