Traffic was queued back for more than four miles on one of Tayside’s busiest roads following a two-vehicle crash at the Swallow Roundabout on Monday morning.
Police were called to the scene at about 10.20am following reports of the collision, which occurred 300m west of the roundabout along the A90 Dundee to Perth road.
Police said that traffic was “very heavy and moving slowly” with motorists reporting queues more than four miles, stretching from the roundabout to Inchture.
Traffic issues endured until the afternoon.
The force was unable to confirm what vehicles were involved and the extent of any injuries as of yet.
Just after 1pm police posted to social media: “The A90 northbound before the Swallow Roundabout in Dundee is now fully open again, with traffic starting to clear. Thanks for your patience everyone.”
