A Perthshire road was closed from more than two hours following a two-vehicle collision south of Coupar Angus.
Police, the fire service and an ambulance crew have been called to the A923, four miles from the town, at the Tullybaccart bend.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said there was one male casualty who was complaining of back pain.
He said that they received the call from Police Scotland at 8.30am.
He said: “We sent two appliances from Macalpine Road in Dundee.
“Firefighters used equipment including a rescue board to remove the casualty from his vehicle.”
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to the A923, near Coupar Angus, at 8.08am following a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
“Ambulance and the fire service are in attendance.”
Two people were taken to hospital and the road reopened around 10.30am.
