At the museum are, from left, Major General Michael Riddell-Webster, chairman of The Black Watch Castle and Museum Lord Lieutenant Stephen Leckie; Anne Kinnes; the Duke of Kent and Provost Dennis Melloy.
Perth’s Black Watch Museum welcomed a royal visitor in the shape of the Duke of Kent.
The duke visited the museum yesterday afternoon and received a tour through the museum’s galleries.
The tour highlighted the story of Captain Fergus Bowes-Lyon, brother to the Queen Mother, who served with The Black Watch and was killed in action during the First World War.
Chief executive of The Black Watch Castle and Museum Anne Kinnes said: “It is an absolute pleasure to welcome the Duke of Kent to The Black Watch Castle and Museum and share with him The Black Watch connections to the royal family.”
