A missing man whose van was traced in a Perthshire car park has been found.
Concerns mounted for Ian Fowler, 39, from Ayrshire, after he failed to show up for work in Kilmarnock on Thursday morning.
His vehicle was found at the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre more than 100 miles away and a heavy police presence was reported as officers scoured the area.
Staff at the nearby Highland Fling Bungee centre said police had been on the scene since at least 10am, four hours after Mr Fowler was supposed to arrive at work.
However, Tayside Police Division said he had been found.
At around 8.45pm it said: “Thirty-nine-year-old Ian Fowler, missing from Ayrshire this morning, has been traced safe and well.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our post.”
Mr Fowler had been reported missing by colleagues after he failed to show up for work at 6am.
