A 12-year-old has been charged in connection with an assault at a Perthshire school, which resulted in another pupil being hospitalised.
Police were alerted to the alleged attack at Blairgowrie High School on Monday afternoon.
Shocked parents spoke out after seeing a video of a fight circulating among pupils.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 12 year old has been charged in connection with an assault in Blairgowrie.
“The incident at Blairgowrie High School was reported around 3.10pm on Monday, 28 October.
“A report will be sent to the Youth Justice Assessor.”
One pupil was taken to hospital, which a Perth and Kinross Council spokesperson called a “precaution”.
“The incident has been reported to police and we will assist with their investigation any way we can,” they added.

The council’s lifelong learning convener, Caroline Shiers, praised the quick action of the authorities in response to the incident.
She said: “I am aware of the swift action taken by the headteacher, her staff and officers from Police Scotland in relation to the incident at Blairgowrie High School yesterday.”
A parent, who did not want to be named, said it is not the first video of this nature he has seen emerge from the school.
“I am considering removing my child from the school,” he said.
“Ultimately, parents are responsible for their own children but there is a problem with discipline and the authorities’ attitude to it.”
But Ms Shiers insisted there is “no tolerance” of violence in any council-run schools.
