The Met Office has issued a weather warning for ice across Courier Country with temperatures set to plunge this evening.
Residents across the region woke up to a hard frost this morning as the mercury dropped to below freezing overnight.
And tonight is set to see more of the same, with the Met Office predicting temperatures of -1C in Perth and -2C in Braemar.
The weather forecast is in the video above this story.
The forecaster has subjected areas in Fife, Dundee, Angus and east Perthshire to the first winter weather warning of the season.
It says: “Icy patches in the east may give difficult driving conditions overnight and Thursday morning.”
The warning adds that there may be injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and
“probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths”.
The weather warning is in place from 7pm tonight until 10am Thursday.
