Crieff Minor Injury and illness Unit (MIIU) has closed temporarily for today and this weekend.
Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership says the closure is due to unplanned staff absence.
The MIIU, which is usually open between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am-9pm on Saturday and Sunday, is experiencing staffing difficulties.
It will be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, returning to normal operating hours from 9am on Monday January 6.
Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership Chief Officer Gordon Paterson said, “We would like to apologise for any disruption this may cause.
“It is essential that we provide an MIIU service with appropriately skilled staff which is safe for patients and staff. Due to unplanned staff absence, we have had to make the decision to restrict the opening of the unit for a temporary period.”
Patients can contact their GP during opening hours or contact NHS 24 on 111 in out-of-hours periods if they have a problem which cannot wait until GP surgeries reopen. They will be redirected to the Perth emergency centre if appropriate or an alternative MIIU in Perth & Kinross.
