Work on the Perthshire landmark began in November with employees of the Mercer Woodland Estate tasked with the job of trimming the giant foliage. The first stage of the cut has now been completed but the workers will return in March to tackle the top of the hedge. For the latter part of the trim they will need to use a 45 metre platform that cannot be used in winter months due to ice and high winds.
