Police are hunting would-be thieves who tried to smash their way into a Perthshire village shop.
The gang of at least three men targeted the Balbeggie Village Store in the early hours of Friday morning.
A force spokesman said: “Three people were seen to run off from the shop, and then a small dark car which had been parked around a corner nearby drove away at speed.
“Although a glass window as smashed and a door was damaged, they did not gain entry and nothing was stolen.”
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting case number 0372 of January 24.
