A man hurled abuse at a woman and her two children in Perth after stepping out into the middle of the road and attacking their car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place at the junction of Crieff Road and Simpson Square at 4pm yesterday.
The suspect, who is described as around 6ft tall and around 20 years old, stepped out in front of the car, nearly causing a collision, before kicking the white Nissan Micra as it passed him.
When the vehicle stopped a few yards later at traffic lights the man opened the boot of the car and verbally abused the woman and her children and punched the window.
The driver and her young passengers were left shaken by the incident but unhurt.
Officers are now looking to trace the man who is described a swhite, about 6ft and around 20 years old, who was wearing an oversized orange hooded top with the hood up, and blue jeans.
A spokesperson for Tayside Police said: “This is a busy road and the incident happened at rush hour, so there is a good chance that has been seen by pedestrians or drivers, and may have been captured on dashcams of other cars.”
