The family of missing Perth woman Maryanne Dick have expressed their heartbreak after a body was found during the search for her.
Maryanne was last seen in Perth on Saturday night and police, family and friends appealed for help tracing her.
A search party was organised on Monday evening and police confirmed a few hours later a body had been found and Maryanne’s family informed.
Her daughter, Emma expressed the family’s heartbreak on social media, writing: “Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal.
“A body was found last night in the search for my Mum.
“My family are heartbroken and would appreciate some privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with what’s happened.”
Tayside Police issued a statement on their Facebook page in the early hours of the morning.
The social media statement read: “The body of a woman has been found in Perth.
“The family of missing woman Maryanne Dick have been informed and our thoughts are with them.”
