Police are hunting a sneak thief who crept into a Perth house and stole a purse.
The raider took to his heels when he walked upstairs and was disturbed by the property’s owner.
Police Scotland said the theft happened in the city’s Mount Tabour Road at about 4am on Tuesday, February 11.
A force spokesman said: “The suspect entered the house and stole a purse. He made his way upstairs, but was disturbed by the householders and ran off.”
He added: “Enquiries are continuing into this incident, with officers studying CCTV footage.”
Constable Scott Duffin has appealed for anyone who was in the Mount Tabor area at the time of the theft to get in touch by calling 101, quoting case number 0340 of January 11.
